| SPECTATORS AND COACHES
- Be on your best behavior and set a proper example.
- ONLY youngsters who officially register will be allowed to practice and participate with FTC.
- Coaches need to in charge of and are responsible for the conduct of their runners on the track and their spectators in the stands or any adjacent areas to the track.
- Spectators should not be coaching from the sidelines. This confuses the runners, and makes them tense.
- Know the difference between positive cheering and negative berating.
- Never ridicule or scold a child for making a mistake during a practice or a meet.
- Show respect for the competing teams. Without them, their would be no track meets.
Set a good example for yourself, by showing good sportsmanship, and cheering positively.
IT WILL CATCH ON!!
The following infractions will result in immediate removal from track field and potential expulsion from the club:
- Fighting or improper physical contact, or the threat thereof.
- Harassment or continued verbal abuse.
- Continuance of improper behavior after being warned.
- Failure to comply with FTC coaches request to obey the rules.
- Conduct which results in the violation of a law or court order.
- Transport of participants from events without the knowledge of coaching staff.
The following infractions will result in a warning and then removal from the track if the behavior continues:
- Use of profanity.
- Verbal abuse of runners, coaches, or any track official at a meet.
- Loud excessive, or negative shouting from spectators.
